Sonamura, Tripura, 5th of December, 2025 : On specific information of the Sonamura Police secret operation was launched in Sonamura, Tripura on Friday (5th December, 2025). Sonamura Police and other agencies, recovered and seized total 5 kg Dry Cannabis (Ganja) and total 160 nos. ESKUF cough syrup.
According to the Police, on Friday (4th December, 2025) during patrolling duty raid and searched at NC Nagar border road recovered and seized total 5 kg Dry Cannabis (Ganja) and total 160 nos. ESKUF cough syrup. After that seized it after observing all legal formalities as unclaimed. The destination market value of the seized ganja is approximately to be 1.2 lakh only.
Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station said that Sonamura police has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these illegal Seizes ganja. OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
