Seva Sankalp Abhiyan To Be Held From September 17 To October 17 : Chief Minister Of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha At Press Conference.

Agartala, Tripura, 15th of September, 2026 : To mark the 25 years of relentless service to the people by Narendra Modi as Prime Minister and before that as Chief Minister of Gujarat, the state government has decided to organize one month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ from September 17. Making ‘Jan Seva Hi Prabhu Seva’ thought as the main driving force, various government scheme benefits will be delivered to the last person of society during this month-long campaign. Today Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha informed this at a press conference held at the state secretariat.

The Chief Minister informed that the journey of commitment to deliver public service, dedication and public welfare began on October 2001 when he first took oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Continuously receiving the public’s blessings and serving them for 25 years in a massive and diverse democracy like India is a golden chapter in our democratic history. The guiding philosophy of the Prime Minister’s governance centres around Seva (service), good governance and welfare of the poor. Ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach the poorest of the poor and the last person in society has been the foundational principle of his work style.

The Chief Minister said, various programmes will be implemented as part of Seva Sankalp to be carried out from September 17 to October 17, 2026. The month-long schedule includes ‘Ashirvaad Ka Diya’ (September 17, 2026), Mere Sapno Ka Bharat -Chitra Seva (India of My Dreams – Art Service), Namo Seva – Ankahi Kahaniya (Untold Stories), Angan Milan seva (Anganwadi Gathering), Seva Ki Kahani (Stories of Service), Seva Jyoti Kalas Jatra, Seva Meri Yogdan, Seva Setu Abhiyan, Seva Ke Rang, Rashtra Ke Sang, Seva First Innovation Challenge, Sushason Sambad and Bhadnagar-Baranasi Seva Jatra.

The Chief Minister informed that Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy has been appointed as Nodal Minister to oversee the implementation of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. Additionally other ministers will be in charge of monitoring the programmes at the district level. In charge of North Tripura district will be Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma and Cooperation Minister Shukla Charan Noatia, in charge of Unakoti District will be Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, in charge of Dhalai district will be Minister for Agriculture Ratan Lal Nath, in charge of Khowai district will be Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy, in charge of Sepahijala district will be Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma, in charge of Gomati district will be Higher Education Minister Kishore Barman and Forest Minister Animesh Debbarma and in charge of South district will be Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das and Minister of State for Industries and Commerce Brishaketu Debbarma. In addition, MLAs and other public representatives will be doing their best to ensure proper implementation of the campaign. A committee has been formed comprising all Secretaries and District Magistrates to chalk out action plan and monitor the progress of activities during the month-long campaign. The Information and Cultural Affairs Department will be work as the nodal department for the campaign.

The Chief Minister informed that as part of the ‘Ashirvad ka Diya’ programme, on September 17, diya lighting will be done at important places of rural and urban areas as well as in people’s homes, for which more than 6 lakh diyas will be arranged. Blood donation camps will be organized at different places on September 17 to celebrate ‘Seva Divas’. For the convenience of public, diyas (lamps) made by SHGs will be sold at the ration shops, panchayat office and Arogya Mandirs. Special programme will be held at Ujjayanta Palace, Jagannath Dighi and Laxmi Narayan Dighi banks in Agartala, Mata Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur, Kalibari Dighi in Dharmanagar, Neermahal in Sonamura, Unakoti Kalakshetra in Kailashahar. Similar programmes will be organized by the blocks, gram panchayats and ULBS.

The Chief Minister informed that to celebrate Mere Sapno Ka Bharat – Chitra seva from September 29 to October 17, art competitions will be organized at 4945 places across the state for the school students. Topic of the competition will be Viksit Bharat Sankalp -25 Years of Prime Minister Modi’s Seva Works. Guardians, local people and students will be encourage to visit and see the art works by students. Speech competition will also be held with the students. As part of Namo Seva – Unkahi Kahaniya programme to be held from September 29 to October 17, 2026, short (25-30 min) street dram shows will be organized. Through the drama stories the 25 years of service by Prime Minister Modi, his welfare schemes and the transformation brought about by them, will be highlighted. From September 29 to October 17, 2026 Angan Milan Seva programme will be held. As part of this programme, through 10,479 Anganwadi Centres, their services will be upheld, explained to the guardians, their opinions will be heard, different welfare schemes for women and how to avail their benefits will be discussed in detail. At the same time this programme will feature awareness initiative about various flagship schemes, other national schemes and benefits etc.

The Chief Minister informed that under the Seva ki Kahani programme the beneficiaries of various schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat, PM-Kishan, PM Gareeb Kalyan Anna Yojana and similar flagship schemes will share their stories that how these schemes have brought positive changes in their lives. He said, in Seval Jyoti Kalas Yatra, a rally carrying ‘Seva Jyoti’ flambeau, cycle rally and bike rally will pass through 1193 villages and 21 towns and participation of youth will be ensured. As the symbol of Vikshit Bharat, auspicious Kalas (pitcher) will be installed at a densely populated place permanently. The beneficiaries will share their stories of the last 25 years and all will take collective pledge to build developed India by the year 2047. The Chief Minister said, through Seva Meri Yogdan programme, people will be encouraged to take individual vows to contribute in nation building though welfare activities. This will feature their commitment to spend 25 minutes of service or labour dedicated to the society. Plantation, blood donation, cleanliness drive etc. will be part of this programme. From September 29 to October 17, with the public participation service based programmes will be held 25 places. Each Assembly constituency will have at least two such programmes.

Under the Seva Setu programme with the objective of delivering the benefits of various central and state government schemes to the people, 85 Mega Camps will be held across the state from September 29 to October 17. If needed similar camps will be organized at the Panchayat and Nagar Panchayat level also. These camps will have facilities of online application of on the spot disposal. At the same time, there will be facility to get the views of the beneficiaries. As part of the Seva Ke Rang, Rashtra ke Sang programme, gigantic sized ‘Human Rangoli’ or Rangoli with the participation of people, will be made at different important and populous places of the state. Through these art works subjects like national emblem, welfare schemes or the message of Vikshit Bharat will be highlighted. The message ‘Jana Seva Se Hi Rashtra Seva’ will be publicized. Participation of artists, women, SHGs, NCC and students will be ensured. In this, focus will be on the use of natural and locally available ingredients. Under Seva First Innovation programme, reports will be sought on challenges being faced while delivering good governance, citizen service, welfare or management related skill or local development projects. The compiled report on the challenges will be published on the portal and based on that appropriate and suggestions for technology-based solution will be invited from start-ups, students, innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs and educational groups.

Apart from the participation of the higher education, IT, industries and commerce, skill development departments, coordinated efforts of the district administrations will be there to implement the campaign. Through this campaign, identification of priority sectors, innovative solutions, incubation support to the potential groups through ‘Start-up Tripura eco-system, building eco-system network, finding opportunities for the investors, skill upgradation etc. could be done. Under the Sushason Sambad programme, local programmes will be organized with the participation of public representatives to discuss good governance and public service and best practice. Exchange seminars will be organized involving participation from the youth, public representatives, women SHGs, SC, ST and OBC leaders to discuss expansion of good governance and best practices. The rural development (panchayat) department, will coordinate with the Ministry of Rural Development to select Pradhan and public representatives to participate in the national level programmes to be held at eight important places of the country. At the same time participation of the volunteers from the state in the Seva Jatra from Bhadnagar to Varanasi is under consideration. At the press conference secretary Abhishek Singh was also present.
