With the initiative of Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers “Swarnagram Shikshalaya” Annual programme has been organized at Warengbari on Tuesday (24th January, 2023).

This ‘Swarnagram’ is a humanitarian effort of Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers. Which declaration of Warengbari Village as Model Villages under Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojna. Swarnagram Shikshalaya is a residential school project under Swarnagram initiative by Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers collaboration of Glory Academy. In this project, Shyam Sundar Co Jewelers provides all facilities to the residents of the school, providing proper nutrition, study materials, books, sports coaches and scholarships for meritorious students.

‘Swarnagram Shikshalaya Annual Program’ has turned into a festival as the 12th Annual Sports Day and Prize Distribution Ceremony of Swarnagram. On the day of the programme, trophies and medals were presented to the winners as ‘Best Student (Boy) of the Year’ and ‘Best Student (Girl) of the Year’.

Students have taken active part in different segments of the programme. Started the program by singing and ended with a with a traditional Hojagiri dance by village children. Students eagerly participated and performed in various Yogasanas.

‘The Swarnagram project is a dream-like initiative for us, which started 13 years ago. Grateful for the cooperation of the concerned department of the Government for this. Ramakrishna Mission and Bharat Sevashram Sangh have also extended a helping hand in particular”, said Arpita Saha, Director, Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers. She also added that the encouragement I got from the people of Swarnagram is most remarkable.

‘The Swarnagram project has exceeded our dreams. And in the future this path will be wider. Much more work remains to be done. But if everyone is together this purpose will be fulfilled’, said Rupak Saha, Director, Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers.
