Sonamura, Tripura, 24th of November 2025 : Sonamura Police arrested one person on charges of a minor girl kidnapping and who assisted in the kidnapping were arrested on Sunday (23rd November, 2025) night.
According to police, On the 17th of this month, a minor girl was kidnapped from near ONGC at Khedabari. In connection with this crime, the kidnapper, Rana Das of Khedabari area, and his father, Sumanta Das, who assisted in the kidnapping, were arrested tonight.
Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station state that a case had already been registered against them at the police station regarding this incident, they will be produced before the Court. On the 19th of this month, the minor girl was rescued with the help of the Sonamura Police.
