Sonamura, Sepahijala, Tripura, 9th of August, 2026 : Sonamura police during patrolling duty recovered and seized total 34 kg dry Cannabis (Ganja) at Batadola, Balerdepha Border road, Sonamura under Sepahijala District on Sunday (9th August, 2026).
According to sources, Sonamura Police Station during mobile duty at Batadola, Balerdepha Border road recovered and seized total- 34 kg ganja. After that, it was seized following all legal formalities as unclaimed.
The destination market value of the seized ganja is approximately to be six lakh eighty thousand only.
Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station said that Sonamura police has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these illegal seizes ganja.
OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
