Sonamura, Tripura, 11th of September, 2026 : Sonamura police during patrolling duty recovered and seized total 46 kg dry Cannabis (Ganja) at NC Nagar border road, Sonamura under Sepahijala District on Thursday (10th September, 2026).
According to sources, Sonamura Police during patrolling duty at NC Nagar,UNC Nagar border road side recovered and seized total- 46 Kg,s dry ganja as unclaimed. After that seized it after observing all legal formalities as unclaimed. And Sonamura police station has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these items
The destination market value of the seized ganja is approximately to be twenty-three lakh only.
Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station said about this matter. OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
