Sonamura, Tripura, 10th of August 2025 : Sonamura police during patrolling duty at Paharpur area near Indo-Bangla Border Fence and recovered 85 kg cannabis (Ganja) which covered by brown colour cellotape on Sunday (10th August, 2025) night.
According to source, during Sonamura police patrolling duty at Paharpur area near Indo-Bangla Border Fence and recovered and seized total 85 kg dry cannabis which covered brown colour cellotape, as unclaimed. Destination market value of the seized cannabis approx ₹8.50 lakh (Eight lakh fifty thousand). After that seized it after observing all legal formalities as unclaimed. And Sonamura police station has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these illegal cannabis.
