Sports And Games Fest – 2025 Started At Agartala Press Club.

Agartala, Tripura, 24th of May, 2025 : With the initiative of Agartala Press Club Sports and Games Fest – 2025 started with great enthusiasm at Agartala Press Club on Saturday (24th May, 2025). Like every year, this year also Agartala Press Club will organize annual sports competitions as well as indoor-outdoor games among journalists. Today, the Ludo competition will be held, but successively Cricket, Carrom, Table Tennis, Chess, Chinese Checkers, Badminton (doubles) and finally the annual sports competition will also be held. Bishnupada Banik became the Champion and Shisan Chakraborty became the runners-up in the Ludo competition held on Tuesday. Swarupa Naha got the third place.

In the opening ceremony, Convener of Sports Sub Committee Abhishek Dey delivered the welcome speech. Alok Ghosh Chairman of Sports Sub Committee and Club member thanked all concerned. President of Agartala Press Club Pranab Sarkar and Vice President of Agartala Press Club Chitra Roy, inaugurated the tournament. All members of the club’s management committee and Sports Sub-Committee, as well as officials, were also present at the tournament.

The games were conducted by Senior journalist and Tournament Technical Director Suprabhat Debnath. It is worth noting that a friendly football match is being held among journalists at the Umakanta Mini Stadium, Agartala on Sunday morning. The Tripura Football Association is in collaboration. Everyone participating in the friendly match, report to the Umakanta Mini Stadium, Agartala by 7:30 pm. The jerseys of the players of both teams were unveiled at the same event at the Press Club on the occasion of tomorrow’s football match.
