State Level 11th International Day Of Yoga 2025 At International Exhibition Hall, Hapania, Agartala.

Agartala, Tripura, 3rd of May 2025 : With the initiative of Youth Affairs & Sports Department Government of Tripura,  State Level 11th International Day Of Yoga 2025 programme has been organized at  International Exhibition Hall, Hapania, Agartala, Tripura on Saturday (21st June, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on June 21st.  This year marks the  11th International Day of Yoga, 2025 (IDY) with the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health/ “एकपृथ्वी, एकस्वास्थ्यकेलिएयोग” on 21st June, 2025.

Addressing at the celebration ceremony of State Level 11th International Day Of Yoga 2025 programme Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that the 11th International Yoga Day was celebrated across the world today. State-level programs of Yoga Day were also celebrated in the State under the initiative of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports and in collaboration with the State AYUSH Mission. Yoga is an integral part of Indian civilization. This yoga practice, created by the sages of ancient India, still plays a helpful role in developing a healthy, beautiful, positive mindset in human life. Therefore, Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed to celebrate Yoga Day all over the world at the United Nations General Assembly in 2014. At that time, 177 countries supported this proposal. Therefore, since 2015, this day, June 21, has been celebrated as International Yoga Day.

Highlighting on the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Saha remarked that yoga is the highest way to get to know oneself. The healthy body and mind created through it are helpful in building a better human life. Regular yoga practice can play a major role in removing all kinds of fatigue and exhaustion of the body and mind. Today, the entire world has followed India in various fields. Today, countries like America and China also have yoga education centers. The Chief Minister urged everyone present at the event and said that everyone should be vigilant about HIV/AIDS. Parents have an important role to play in this regard. It is worth noting that the main idea of ​​this year’s Yoga Day is ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’.

The Chief Minister told the students present at the event that mobile phones are now an integral part of our daily lives. But to maintain our physical and mental health, we should definitely practice yoga regularly. This also increases brain power.

Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, Minister Tinku Roy delivered a welcome address at the inaugural session State Level 11th International Day Of Yoga.  The Youth Affairs & Sports said that International Yoga Day is being celebrated today at every district and sub-divisional headquarters as well as at the block level. The Sports Minister also said that in addition to yoga, a week-long cleanliness drive, blood donation camps, and tree plantation programs have also been organized to mark this day.

At the event, the Chief Minister and present guests felicitated 6 national level awardees in the yoga category. The guests also visited the blood donation camp organized on the event premises and encouraged the blood donors. According to the report total of 65 blood donors donated blood in the camp.

Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Hon’ble Deputy Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Ram Prasad Paul, MLA Mina Rani Sarkar, Chief Secretary JK Sinha, Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag,  Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports , Students of various schools and colleges, NGOs, NCC cadets and many other dignitaries were participated in the event.
