State Level Programme of “ Meri Maati Mera Desh”.

With the initiative of Information & Cultural Affairs Department Government of Tripura ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ has been organized at Agartala  on Wednesday (18th October, 2023). Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha participated in the programme.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the 103rd Man Ki Baat announced the Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign which starts on 9th August 2023 for honouring the martyred brave-hearts of the country. Under this, many programs organized across the country in memory of immortal martyrs. Under this campaign, ‘Amrit Kalash Yatra’ organized across the country. In a resounding tribute to India’s soil and nation, the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” (My Soil, My Nation) campaign is underway across the state also.

‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ programme, as part of the closing segment of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ has been able to rekindle the patriotic fervor in the citizens of the country. We all should keep the matter of our country above everything. In any situation all people of the country should stand united, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said at the state level Meri Maati Mera Desh programme today.  He said, we address our country as motherland and to ignite the feeling of patriotism Meri Mati Mera Desh has been organized. Through this programme Prime Minister Narendra Modi has engraved the patriotic thought of motherland among the people of the country.

The programme this morning began with a rally starting from Circuit House area in which the chief minister, other members of the State Council of Ministers, MLAs, Corporators of Agartala Municipal Corporation, other public representatives and common people had a spontaneous participation. The rally ended at the Scrap Garden. There the chief minister hoisted the national flag to be followed by national anthem. Hon’ble Agriculture and farmers’ welfare minister Ratan Lal Nath, Hon’ble finance minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Hon’ble Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Hon’ble Industry and commerce minister Santana Chakma, Hon’ble Sports minister Tinku Roy, Hon’ble Tribal welfare minister Bikash Debbarma, Hon’ble SC welfare minister Sudangshu Das, chief secretary, DGP were present in the programme wherein the chief minister Manik Saha administered five-point oath to everyone.

The chief minister also said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has bound the people of different parts of the country together by installing the soil of different villages and cities of the country at Amrit Vatika, Delhi. He said, we should always remember those who had sacrificed their lives for our freedom. The way Har Ghar Tiranga, and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav have brought the people of the state together is unbelievable. He hoped that in the future also dwelling on the patriotic thought people of the state would come forward to push forward the country. Chief secretary J.K. Sinha, Secretary of ICA department Dr. P. K. Chakraborty also spoke on the occasion. Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Mayor Dipak Majumder delivered the vote of thanks.
