Suspected Pakistani Woman, Who Had Escaped From A Jail In Nepal, Arrested In Tripura.

Sabroom, Tripura, 12th of October 2025 : A Pakistani woman, who had escaped from a jail in Nepal, and arrested in Tripura on Sunday (12th October, 2025). According to reports, the Pakistani woman had been sentenced to 15 years in jail in Nepal in connection with a drug-related case. Taking advantage of the recent unrest in Nepal, she escaped from jail and, with the help of brokers, boarded the Kanchanjunga Express to travel through Tripura on her way to Bangladesh. The Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested at Sabroom railway station and later handed over to the local police station for interrogation. It has been revealed that the arrested woman’s name is Sahina Parvin.

Senior police officials are currently conducting an investigation into the entire incident. It has also been reported that a special team from the Agartala, State Police and Crime Branch is on its way to the Sabroom police station to assist with the investigation.
