Durga Puja 2025 : Sharad Samman-2025 Organized By ICA Depart Govt Of Tripura.

Agartala, Tripura, 12th of October 2025 :  With the initiative of the Information & Cultural Affairs Department, Government of Tripura organized Sharad Samman 2025 at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan, Agartala, Tripura on Saturday (11th October, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated Sharad Samman 2025 programme by lighting the lamp.

Addressing at the Sharad Samman ceremony Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that Durga Puja festival was celebrated beautifully and peacefully with the cooperation of the people. The festival reflected the joy and enthusiasm of people’s noble thoughts and refined minds. Along with Agartala city, Durga Puja was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the indigenous areas of various districts of the state as well.

He said that Durga Puja in Tripura is no longer just a festival of the Bengali community. It has now become a grand celebration uniting all communities, including the indigenous people. The Chief Minister also mentioned that one of the remarkable aspects of this year’s Sharadiya festival was the arrival of artists from various States, which created a beautiful blend between Tripura’s culture and the rich traditions of other states. Thus, the festival became a symbol of unity in diversity.

Highlighting the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Saha remarked that clubs and social organizations are now increasingly enthusiastic about participating in various social activities. These organizations must dedicate themselves fully to doing good work for society. With a strong sense of social responsibility, they should come forward to build addiction-free communities and prevent antisocial activities, thereby helping to create a better and healthier society.

The Chief Minister also added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Vocal for Local has encouraged clubs and social organizations to promote local industries, benefiting many artists in the state. He stressed the importance of organizing workshops involving local artists in areas such as pandal decoration, idol making, and lighting under the initiative of the concerned departments. This year, about 1,50,000 people attended the “Mayer Gaman 2025” ceremony in person, while around 1,60,000 people enjoyed the event through various media broadcasts.

In West Tripura district, under the category of Best Theme-based Puja, the Cosmopolitan Club of Agartala secured the first position. The New Star Club, Ujan Abhoy Nagar, won the second place, and the Agradoot Club of Jogendra Nagar stood third.

For Best Pandal Decoration, the JPC Club of Jaynagar won the first prize, followed by Chalaman Sangh of Agartala in second place, and Deshbandhu Club of VIP Road, Agartala in third place.

In the Best Idol category, the Surjja Tarun Club of Agartala won the first prize, the Smriti Club of Agartala secured second place, and the Bishwamilan Club of Old Airport ranked third.

For Best Environment-Friendly Puja, the India Club of Suryamaninagar took the first position, followed by the Radium Club of Jirania in second place, and the Chhatrabrinda Janata Sangha of Mohanpur in third place.

In the category of Best Big-Budget Puja, the Kunjaban Sporting Union of Agartala won first place, the Yuba Samaj Club, Jaynagar, Agartala second, and the Chhatra Bandhu Club of Agartala secured the third position.

In South Tripura district, the awards were presented as follows — For Best Theme-based Puja, the Unity Byayamagar of Belonia received the award. For Best Idol, the Bharat Sangha of Sarma was awarded. For Best Pandal Decoration, the Oriental Club of Belonia received the prize. For Best Environment-Friendly Puja, the Purba Para (East Para) of Santirbazar was honored.

In Gomati district, the Bright Diamond Club of Amarpur received the award for Best Theme-based Puja. The Collegetilla Welfare Society of Dhujnagar, Udaipur, received the prize for Best Idol. The Youth Club of Chanban, Udaipur, was awarded for Best Pandal Decoration, and the Nabashakti Club of Udaipur received the award for Best Environment-Friendly Puja.

In Sepahijala district, the Blood Drops Club of Sonamura won the prize for Best Theme-based Puja. The Rauthkhola Yuba Sangha of Bishalgarh received the award for Best Idol. The Bishwapriya Club of Jangalia, Bishalgarh, won for Best Pandal Decoration, and the TSR 7th Battalion of Jampuijala was awarded for Best Environment-Friendly Puja.

In Khowai district, the Kishore Sangha of Bankar, Khowai, received the award for Best Theme-based Puja. The Ektara Sangha of Kalyanpur was awarded for Best Idol. For Best Pandal Decoration, the Progressive Young Club of Karailong, Teliamura, was honored, and for Best Environment-Friendly Puja, the Bullet Club of Ampi Road, Teliamura, received the prize.

In Dhalai district, the awards were given as follows — For Best Theme-based Puja, the Dear Club of Kamalpur received the award. For Best Idol, the Khudiram Sangha of Manughat was honored. For Best Pandal Decoration, the Sukanta Social Organization of Ambassa won the award. For Best Environment-Friendly Puja, the Vidyasagar Club of Gondatwisa was awarded.

In Unakoti district, the Pratyay Club of Kailashahar received the award for Best Theme-based Puja. The Subhash Sangha of Kumarghat won for Best Idol. The Sanghati Club received the prize for Best Pandal Decoration, and for Best Environment-Friendly Puja, the Ami Hindu Club of Fatikroy was honored.

In North Tripura district, the Deendayal Social Organization of Panisagar received the award for Best Theme-based Puja. The Manchester Club of Kanchanpur won the prize for Best Idol. For Best Pandal Decoration, the Nayapara Club of Dharmanagar received the award, while the Padmapur Club of Dharmanagar was honored for Best Environment-Friendly Puja.

In the Mayer Gaman 2025 Ceremony, the Shatadal Sangha of Agartala secured the first position. The Sanghati Club of Agartala won the second place, and the Blood Mouth Club of Agartala secured the third place.

Amidst the distinguished dignitaries participants there were Secretary of Information & Cultural Affairs Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA Dipak Majumder, Director of Information and Cultural Affairs Department Bimbisar Bhattacharya, Handloom, Handicrafts & Sericulture Minister Of Tripura Bikash Debbarma, Tripura State Cultural Advisory Committee Vice Chairman Subrata Chakraborty, and many other distinguished  dignitaries were present in the event.
