Telugu Language Day Celebrated At Raj Bhavan.

Agartala, Tripura, 30th of August, 2024 : The Telugu Language Day was celebrated on Thursday in Agartala, Tripura. The Telugu Language Day is celebrated every year on August 29 to commemorate the birth anniversary of stalwart Telugu poet, linguist and social reformer Gidugu Venkata Ramamurthy. Hon’ble Governor Shri Indrasena Reddy Nallu inaugurated the Telugu Language Day at a function held at Raj Bhavan on Thursday (29th August, 2024).  

On the occasion, the Governor Shri Nallu recalling the prolific contribution of Poet Venkata Ramamurthy said that Telugu language has a significant role in the development process of education, culture and literature of Telugu speaking people. The Governor also greeted the Telugu-speaking people on the occasion. Amongst others present in the program were the former Chairman of ERC Tripura D. Radhakrishna, Vice-Chancellor of Dhammadipa International University Prof. Narasima Rao Garu, Consultant Medical Oncologist Dr. Shivashree, ADG Tripura Police G. S. Rao and Conservator of Forests, Tripura Prasad Rao. On the occasion, the Chancellor, ICFAI University Prof. T. Tirupati Rao delivered the welcome address.
