The Ground- Breaking Ceremony Of Building Of NLU, Tripura  At Narsingarh, Agartala.

Agartala, Tripura, 6th of February, 2025 : With the initiative of National Law University, (NLU), Tripura has been organized the ground- breaking ceremony of building of National Law University, (NLU), Tripura at Narsingarh, Agartala on Thursday (6th February, 2025). Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha attend the ground- breaking ceremony of building of National Law University, (NLU), Tripura today.

Addressing the ground- breaking ceremony of building of NLU Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that a strong legal system is essential for a thriving democracy. The National Law University will play a vital role in strengthening the legal framework of the State. President Droupadi Murmu laid the foundation stone of the Tripura campus of the National Law University. The Chief Minister said at the event that legal education is not just for learning law. Legal education also plays an important role in establishing justice, morality and the rule of law in the society.

The Chief Minister also added that the Tripura campus of the National Law University will function as a centre for legal research and development by addressing contemporary challenges in the field of law and governance. This work has already started. The Chief Minister said that the National Law University is a historic milestone in the field of legal education in the state. The establishment of the National Law University in the state reflects the strong commitment of the State Government in the field of legal education, research and policy making. The State Government is fully committed to providing all necessary support for the development of the National Law University, Tripura.

Amidst the distinguished dignitaries of the programme there were Hon’ble Chief Justice of Tripura High Court Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh, Vice Chancellor of NLU Tripura, Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh and many other dignitaries were present in the programme.
