Dharmanagar, Tripura, 3rd of May 2026 : Preparations are in full swing in North Tripura’s Dharmanagar ahead of the by-election vote counting. On Sunday afternoon, DIGP (Northern Range) RatiRanjan Debnath visited the counting hall in Dharmanagar to review all arrangements in advance of the counting process. His visit led to heightened activity among the Administration. DIGP Debnath inspected the counting hall and took detailed stock of the overall preparedness, including security arrangements. He also held discussions with concerned officials and issued necessary instructions to ensure that the counting process is conducted smoothly and transparently.

Present during the inspection were North District Superintendent of Police Avinash Rai, Additional Superintendent of Police Kamal Debbarma, SDPO of Dharmanagar Subdivision Jayanta Karmakar, and Officer-in-Charge of Dharmanagar Police Station Meena Debbarma, along with several other police officials and personnel.According to administrative sources, vote counting will begin at 8:00 AM tomorrow. Strict security measures have been put in place for the occasion. Adequate numbers of police personnel, TSR, and CRPF force will be deployed.
Notably, the security at the counting centre has been divided into three layers. Through this three-tier security system, authorities aim to control crowds and prevent any untoward incidents, as stated by DIGP Rati Ranjan Debnath. Only authorized individuals will be allowed entry following prescribed guidelines.The administration claims that all preparations have been completed and they are fully ready to conduct the counting process in a peaceful environment.
