Tragic Death Of Two Baby Girls Drowned In Pond At Teliamura.

The tragic death of two baby girls drowned in pond. The incident took place on Tuesday (4th July, 2023) morning in the Mangaljoy para area  of Teliamura sub-division. The names of the two dead girls are Elisa Rupini (4 years 7 months) and Amy Debbarma (4 years).

As per the local information, on this morning, Elisa Rupini, a 4-year 7-month-old daughter of Bikash Rupini, a resident of Mangaljoy Para area, and Amy Debbarma, a 4-year-old daughter of Dwarka Debbarma, were playing together in the neighborhood of the house. While playing, the two girls fell into a pond near the house. After witnessing the incident, the people of the area immediately rescued the two girls from the pond water and brought them to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital. When brought there, the doctor on duty at Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital declared the two girls dead. But, even then, the parents of the two dead girls tried to save their dead bodies by hugging them to their chests, but in vain, the children started crying for death. Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital is heavy with the tears of parents who have lost their children. A shade of grief has prevailed in entire Mangaljoy Para area over this unexpected incident. Relatives and common people of the area broke down in tears.
