Dharmanagar, Tripura, 5th of June 2026 : On the occasion of World Environment Day, a special tree plantation programme was organized on Friday at Tilthai Primary Health Centre in North Tripura district. The initiative was undertaken to spread awareness about environmental conservation and promote greenery within the health centre premises.

The programme was attended by the Medical Officer of Tilthai Hospital, other doctors, and staff members of the health centre. Members of the Panchayat Samiti and local public representatives also participated in the event and played an active role in making the programme successful.
Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for environmental protection and tree plantation, various fruit-bearing, medicinal, and deodar saplings were planted within the hospital campus.According to the organizers, the initiative is highly significant in maintaining ecological balance, reducing air pollution, and building a healthier and greener future for coming generations.
