Agartala, Tripura, 15th of June, 2025 : With the initiative of State Government of Tripura inaugural Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan organized at Pragna Bhavan, Agartala, Tripura on Sunday (15th June, 2025). In the In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Tribal Welfare, Handloom, Handicrafts & Sericulture, Statistics Minister Bikash Debbarma inaugurated the events.
Addressing at the inaugural ceremony of “Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan” programme Hon’ble Tribal Welfare, Handloom, Handicrafts & Sericulture, Statistics Minister Bikash Debbarma said that the main goal of the current State Government is to achieve centpercent development in every field of Tribal Development. Therefore, along with the central projects, the State Government is giving importance to the development of Tribals through various projects.
Addressing at the event Tribal Welfare, Statistics Minister Bikash Debbarma said that the steps taken till date for the socio-economic development of the Tribals of the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have never been seen during the tenure of the previous Central Governments. Through this campaign, the benefits of various schemes of the central and state governments will be delivered to the doorsteps of the beneficiaries in every tribal-dominated village committee in the state. In this regard, the beneficiaries will be able to easily avail various services of 20 departments from various camps held till June 30.
“A section of the Tribals in the state is still not aware of various government benefits. In that case, this program can play a special role. In his speech, the Tribal Welfare Minister told the students present at the program that it is not enough to be educated alone. Along with education, we must also work to move the society forward. He urged the students to come forward more in sports and healthy culture.
No previous government has given Bhagwan Birsa Munda the rightful status. Although his contribution to the independence of this country is undeniable. During the tenure of the current central government, this country got a woman President. Since the formation of the current state government in 2018, the outbreak of malaria in the hilly areas of the state has been reduced to a great extent. The current state government is working single-mindedly to expand facilities in the tribal areas through various departments of the state.”, Tribal Welfare Minister said.
At the event, the Tribal Welfare Minister and other guests virtually inaugurated online smart classes for various schools in the state today. The Tribal Welfare Minister also virtually interacted with tribal students of boarding houses of various schools. At this event, 2 tribal students were also felicitated for their special achievements in the All India Competition.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries participants there were Hon’ble Cooperation, Tribal Welfare (TRP & PTG), Welfare of Minorities Sukla Charan Noatia, T. R. Paite Managing Director and Chairman of the National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSTFDC), Nagendra Debbarma, Director of the TRP & PTG Department, West Tripura District Dr. Vishal Kumar, Director of Tribal Welfare Department Subhasish Das, Social activist Bipin Debbarma and many other distinguished dignitaries were present in the ceremony today.
