New Delhi/Tripura, 11th of January, 2025 : National Youth Festival transformed to a platform for PM Narendra Modi’s searching of Swami Vivekananda like leaderships for Vikshit Bharat, Union Minister of YAS defined actually at his inauguaral speech at National Youth Festival & Vikshit Bharat National Youth Dialogue with prime Minister Narendra Modi on 11th January on the eve of National Youth day at Bharat Mandapam New Delhi.
Union Minister Mansukh Mandavya elaborated the public focused unique plan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the processing of celebration of National Youth Day this year. Prime minister directed to break previous forms and frames and advocate for Youth participation as a mass movement as a joint venture initiative of the both Central Ministry and the State Department, transforming the process in to an identification and selection of youth leaders, who can be the leader for the time frame of 2047. Union minister also defined the National Youth festival of 2025 as by the youth, for the youth, of the youth.
Mansukh Mandavya said, to cultivate 1000 youth leaders for future as desired by the Prime Minister, the Union Ministry along with the state government departments organised in a VIKSHIT BHARAT quiz competition on the MyGov portal, where a record number of three millions young Indians has been participated, and out of those, in the next filtration process, 60,000 were selected and in the next phase of filtration process among this 60000 youth, 9,000 were selected through an essay writing competition. This toughest filtration process in its third tier finally filtrates 3,000 students and youth out of 9,000 through a PPT competition where youths were presented their ideas on Vikshit Bharat. Those finally selected and identified 3,000 youth are treated as a part of dream Youth Leaders for 2047 and have been invited to participate in the National Youth Festival and the National Youth Dialogue with the Prime Minister at the Bharat Mandapam during this 11 – 12 January 2025. In addition, 10 -15 successful young achievers from different fields from each state have been nominated and given the opportunity to represent the state as Youth Icons. They are about 500 in total participating the mega event.
Union Minister detailed that being an admire to the directions of Swami Vivekananda for the transforming India into Vikshit Bharat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also initiated some planning of nurturing future leadership through inspiration for the brightest Icons, who remain hidden among the Indian Youth to fulfil the country need especially for Vikshit Bharat – New India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi who always declared himself as an admire to Swami Vivekananda and once upon a time who also aimed to be a monk of Ramakrishna Mission, transformed the Birth day of Swami Vivekananda into a opportunity of searching future leaderships for New India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided and directed the ministry to grant the philosophy of Narendranath, also known as Swami Vivekananda, as the basics for the policy in building of New India. With this aim and object only the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India has transformed the organizing of such mega event of National Youth Festival as National Youth Dialogue with PM at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, aiming in building and in searching of dynamic youth leaders for future. 100000 youth leaders have been aimed to nurtured towards making of future youth leadership for New India by inspiring them. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself advocate to celebrate this year National Youth Day with this unique idea of making future Leadership and ensuring youth participation.
The two-day Mega event National Youth Festival and the National Youth Dialogue with the Prime Minister has been inaugurated through remembering Swami Vivekananda on the eve of his 163rd birth anniversary and by offering floral tribute to his known portrait at Bharat Mandapam on January 11 and will continue for day next 12th January. Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandavya in his inaugural speech revelled these facts and said that the Prime Minister under his bold global leadership wants to act in making of 100000 youth leaders for New India for 2047 periods. The Prime Minister has a plan to encourage energetic youths and to find out Swami Vivekananda i.e. Narendranath Dutta like personalities for reshaping India and its various fields, including politics, in making his dream New India.
This year the Mega event was a joint venture of central ministry and every state department also unlike previous years, with a dream project of identifying and building future Youth Leadership, who may lead the nation during the time period of 2047. Under the patronage of PM of India, This venture has also been cultivated as a mission mode and beyond any dream too. Hence for every state has selected and nominated 10-15 most successful youth prodigies from various fields like social service, NSS, sports, cultural, agriculture and entrepreneur as well as education and science and sent them to represent the concern state in this National Youth festival as Youth Icons. In this context, Abhinaba Banik, a Student of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Vivek nagar got the opportunity to participate the Mega event at Bharat Mandapam out of 4000 Youth Icons to learn the lessons for evolving the characteristics of leadership for future from Tripura as State Youth Icon student scientist.
Abhinaba Banik, being the State Youth Icon student scientist, was a member of the greater Tripura team for the event organised at Bharat Mandapam, consists of Padma Shri Dipa Karmakar, Samrat Basak, Deep Pal, Mriganka Das, Subrata Saha, Surjit De, Prosenjit Shil Kakli Sarkar and finally Baibhav Datta. Abhinaba Banik expressed his gratitude and said, Since 2021, he was in touch with Mathematics Legend Anand kumar, who was the invitee youth motivator at the event on behalf of Ministry, ensures the representation from Tripura at Bharat mandapam. Legendary mathematician & Super Thirty film fame personality Anand Kumar also extended his unimaginable help and greeted Abhinaba for such achievements. More the Cabinet Minister of Youth and Sports Department of the Government of Tripura Tinku Roy, Secretary Dr. Pradeep Kumar Chakraborty IAS, Director Satyabrata Nath, State Coordinator Arjun Nath and others have helped immensely in ensuring participation of state team in this new dimensional National Youth festival as well as National Youth Dialogue with prime Minister.
Union Minister Mansukh Mandavya focused on the new age Ministry policy of Youth Leadership nurturing where ministry itself tries to involve state Governors and Chief Ministers as ministry submitted prayer to the H.E. Governors and Chief Ministers of each state to meet and greet all the nominated youth leaders and youth icons who achieved selection to participate at National Youth Dialogue with the Prime Minister and the National Youth Festival to inspire them to move ahead to the joint initiative of the Union Ministry and the State Department under the dream project of making 1000 youth leaders for 2047. Union Minister elaborated his monitoring that only the Governors and Chief Ministers of 24 states have actively executed the policy and interacted with the youth leaders of their state before state team moved ahead to Bharat Mandapam. It’s the believe of the Ministry concern that the approach of such mass participation and this vigorous filtration process may able to find actual leaders and hidden Swami Vivekanandas’ from the great Indian youth community and inspiration for those youth leaders will germinate from state level through H.E. Governors and Chief ministers accordingly. Mandavya express gratitude to concern MPs, as well as 20 union ministers of the government of India for their inspirational approach understanding the desire of Prime minister Narendra Modi to their state team of Youth Icons after just arrival of the selected Icons at New Delhi.
Mansukh Mandavya tuned boldly that under the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has truly changed, developed and a new India is being built.The Union Minister of YAS said that India was under subjugation for 2000 years. The Shaka Huns ruled India. For 1000 years, invaders ruled India. For 240 years, the British ruled India. In that context, in 1857, a fearless patriotic youth, Mangal Pandey, lit the first torch of independence and then more than 6 million young people sacrificed their lives in the 90-years long struggle for freedom amidst 240 years of subjugation. In that context, after 75 years of independence, under the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is moving forward on the path of a developed country, the world-guru enriched with the youth power to build a new India. The Union Minister called for revitalizing the Youth leadership, who have hidden potentialities and capabilities, but unaware to them, to restore the divine glory of the proud India.
Today, the inaugural ceremony was attended by eminent journalist Palki Sharma, Editor of First Post, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra, South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes, Super Thirty Education Project Icon and Super Thirty movie famous legendary mathematician Anand Kumar, environmentalist Malhar Kalambe, football star Bhaichung Bhutia and others, who spoke to inspire the youth participating in the National Youth Festival and the National Youth Dialogue with the Prime Minister. Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra called on the youth to build the country by taking the lead and aggression in the way of Bhagat Singh and others, which took the leap of independence by taking the lead. He urge to prevail that aggression led to change the history even. In tuning the participant youths similarly, Anand Kumar, the famous personality of the Super Thirty Education Project and the Super Thirty film, and a Tripura Loving star Mathematician, also called for moving forward with a positive mindset in the world of science and mathematics and in the field of teaching. He identified man making teaching should also be leader making teaching so that country may produce leaders in different fields from politics to philanthropy, Space Science to Spirituality.
Union Ministry of YAS planned to celebrate the 163rd birthday of Swami Vivekananda at national level in presence of more than 4500 youth icons and youth participants, who will be teach the lessons on developing a nation like India during the National Youth Festival.
Union Ministry of YAS will also provide significant opportunity and a full day of 12th January to this large number of youth gathering to express their proposals and hopes for the VIKSHIT BHARAT to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the dreamer of vikshit bharat in execution of the directions into act of Narendra Dutta, known & famous as Swami Vivekananda. Initially, 20 youth leaders from 10 states will get opportunity to exchange views with the Prime Minister, who will remain for a full day here at Bharat Mandapam and according to schedule will also take his simple lunch with our Youth Icons especially with my Festival-mates. ISRO Chairman and Secretary of Ministry of Space and Chandrayaan Gaganyaan project related star scientist Dr S Somnath is present at the inauguration ceremony and Union Minister of State for Youth and Sports Raksha Khetri delivered his vote of thanks at this inaugural session too.
