Tripura Student Ritesh Guha Roy Of Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir Wins 1st Prize In National Painting Competition On Energy Conservation.

New Delhi/Tripura, 15th of December, 2024 : Alongside having bagged the first position among Group 4 states in the prestigious National Energy Conservation Award 2024 (NECA), Tripura also brought the laurel of 1st prize in the Group-B section of the National Painting Competition on Energy Conservation. The competition was organized by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency under the aegis of the Union Ministry of Power. A press statement issued by NEEPCO stated this.

Shri Ritesh Guha Roy, a student of Class 10 of Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir from Agartala, Tripura won the 1st prize in Group B (Class 8-10) competition held throughout the country. The 2nd and 3rd winners were Miss Nistha Priyam Sharma (Class IX), Gurukul Grammar Sr Secondary School, Guwahati (Assam) & Rudransh Jindal (Class X), of St Edward’s School, Simla (Himachal Pradesh)

The Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar honoured the winners of theNational Painting Competition on Energy Conservation 2024 on the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day 2024, on Saturday December 14, 2024.

On the occasion, Union Minister of State of Power and New & Renewable Energy, Shri Shripad Yesso Naik., Secretary, Ministry of Power, Govt of India and other senior dignitaries of the Ministry were also present. Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD, Maj Gen R.K. Jha, AVSM (Rtd), Director (P) and other Senior officials from NEEPCO attended the event.

The National Painting Competition on Energy Conservation was organized by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency under the aegis of the Ministry of Power, Govt of India. NEEPCO was the nodal agency for conducting State level competitions in four states, Tripura, Meghalaya, Nagaland & Mizoram. Approximately 70 lakhs students participated in the Competition all over the Country. Sri Gurdeep Singh, CMD, along with Maj Gen R.K. Jha, AVSM** (Rtd), Director (P) of NEEPCO congratulated the winners and all the participants who represented the four states.
