Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar Joins ‘Swachh Teerth’ Campaign.

Agartala, 20th of January 2024 : On the second day of his visit to Tripura, Union Minister of State for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Electronics & IT, and Jal Shakti, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar participated in the ‘Swachh Teerth’ campaign and engaged with Young Indians and citizens who have directly experienced the positive impact of central and state Government schemes.

The Minister, alongside citizens, Young Indians, and party karyakartas, took part in the cleaning of the Indira Nagar Kali Bari temple in Agartala as part of the ‘Swachh Teerth’ campaign. Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated this nationwide campaign to ensure the cleanliness of pilgrimage sites, ahead of the upcoming consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22. Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar encouraged citizens to maintain cleanliness in their cities and temples, echoing the Prime Minister’s message.

After the temple cleanliness drive, the Minister interacted with citizens, women in particular, and discussed the positive outcomes of schemes like Jal Jeevan Mission and PM Awas Yojana that have benefited the people of Tripura.

Expressing his thoughts, the Minister said, “Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi ji’s visionary policies are significantly influencing the lives of people across the country. Today, I met Savitri ji and Basunti ji from Agartala, who shared how initiatives like Jal Jeevan Mission, PMAY, and various other government schemes have transformed not only their lives but also those of countless other families.”

Later, the Minister engaged with party karyakartas, discussing strategies to strengthen the organization at the grassroots level for the efficient functioning of the double engine sarkar—with Hon’ble PM Modi at the Centre and Chief Minister of Tripura Manik Saha.

Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar also met Chief Minister Manik Saha to discuss reinforcing party roots in the state and enhancing skilling opportunities for young Indians. The mission is to develop a future-ready, industry-ready workforce in Tripura, aligning with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. Minister Chandrasekhar emphasized the crucial role that skilled young Indians in Tripura will play in achieving this goal.
