Women’s Congress Protest in Kumarghat; Effigies of Kangana Ranaut and Prahlad Joshi Burnt.

Kailashahar, Tripura, 3rd of August, 2026 : The Kailashahar District Women Congress cell organized a protest demonstration at Pabiachhara Bazaar in Kumarghat on Sunday (2nd August, 2026), condemning the alleged derogatory and offensive remarks made by Union Education Minister Prahlad Joshi and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut against the Gen-Z protesters and their parents at Jantar Mantar.

As part of the protest, effigies of Prahlad Joshi and Kangana Ranaut were burnt. The demonstrators also demanded that both leaders issue an immediate public apology to the people of the country.

Amidst the distinguished leaders there were Kailashahar District Mahila Congress President Phulkumari Goswami, Pradesh Mahila Congress Secretary Khumtiya Debbarma, Pabiachhara Block Mahila Congress President Bharati Sharma, Fatikroy Block Mahila Congress President Manjushree Deb Malakar, District Congress Working President Satyaban Das, along with other party leaders and workers.
