Sports can play a vital role in ending the drug menace. Sports can keep youth away from drugs and engage youth in sports activities. The youth of the indigenous came forward with the aim of keeping the youth away from drugs and keeping health protection in mind to build a healthy society.
With the initiative of Yak Baksa Club organized a football tournament in Manik Bazar area under Teliamura subdivision. This tournament started on July 17. August 13 was its final match. A total of 12 teams participated in this tournament. Today the final match is between Taidu Local and APC Club.
The final match of the day was attended by ADC Sports Minister Sohail Debbarma, EM Kamal Kollai, EM of Ampi, YTF leader Mahendra Debbarma and others. APC club won the final match of the day. While speaking at the end, the guest said that the youth should stay away from the drug of addiction. For this, sports is the only method through which the youth will be healthy, and free from the drug of addiction. They urged for a need to engage youth in sports activities. For this purpose Tripura ADC is giving special emphasis on administration and sports. They also mentioned about taking various initiatives from the ADC administration for the development of sports in the future.
