Agartala, 22nd of March 2024 : Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, Minister Tinku Roy on Friday (22nd March, 2024) visited Govind Ballabh Pant (GBP) hospital to enquire about the health of the two childrens. The Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, Minister have been given financial assistance of thirty thousands.
According to the details of the incident, in an unfortunate incident two children faced burn injury on 20th March, 2024 in Bairagimura Anganwadi Centre (AWC), Dasharath Bari VC under Mohanbhog RD Block. Two childrens were injured when an Anganwadi worker accidentally spilled hot water on these children from the kitchen window of the Anganwadi center. Their names are Punti Debbarma (5 years) D/O : Tapan Debbarma, M/O: Mangalaxmi Debbarma and Hamari Debbarma (5 years) D/O: Lt. Kamini Debbarma M/O: Marani Debbarma.
Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, Minister Tinku Roy on hearing the information immediately supported the families with Rupees Thirty Thousand. The Department of Social Welfare and Social Education on hearing the information immediately supported the families with Rupees Thirty Thousand. The Minister and the Authorities of the Department of Social Welfare & Social Education visited the children in the AGMC and GBP hospital enquire about the health two childrens where the children are getting treated and interacted with doctors, medical superintendent and nurses for care and better treatment. The Social Welfare & Social Education, Minister has taken the decision to further support the children with more financial support from the Department.
Hon’ble Minister Tinku Roy also asked to take up an inquiry about the incident and the department has immediately taken action in suspending the service of the Anganwadi Worker and for strong monitoring by the Anganwadi centre management committee so as to ensure that in future no such negligence in duty is found on the part of any Anganwadi workers in the state. The name of the anganwadi is Jaylaxmi Sarkar.
