Teliamura, 20th of May, 2024 : Police is fully committed to eradicating the menace of drugs from Tripura making “Tripura – A Drug-Free State”. Railway police of Teliamura Railway station was able to recover the illegal Cannabis. Attempts to smuggle cannabis through the Teliamura corridor continue. As per the report, based on the information of secret sources, approximately 14 kg of dry cannabis has been seized from Teliamura railway station.
The statement of the Railway Police is that, based on secret information, this operation was carried out in white clothes. It is also known that this cannabis has been seized from the bag kept under the seat of the railway, but police sources have also claimed that no one has been arrested in connection with this case. After a few days, attempts to smuggle cannabis in this way in the railway era or using railways are coming into notice. On Sunday again, the news of the seizure of this cannabis at Teliamura railway station premises caused a sensation. The police could not arrest anyone related to the cannabis market in this journey due to the lack of any evidence.
