Agartala, Tripura, 13th of September, 2026 : With the initiative of ICFAI University organized 21st Convocation at college premises, Agartala, Tripura on Saturday (12th September, 2026)
In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial Lamp.
Address at the inauguration ceremony of 21st Convocation Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu said that students must constantly upgrade their knowledge and skills to achieve their goals. He stressed that perseverance and consistent effort are essential for reaching the pinnacle of success.
Governor said education should go beyond theoretical knowledge and focus on practical skills. He called upon ICFAI University to continue promoting hands-on learning to prepare students for the demands of a rapidly changing world.
Highlighting the occasion, Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu remarked that the world is changing rapidly, while the scope of opportunities continues to expand. He urged the graduates to utilise the knowledge and skills acquired at the university not only for their personal success but also towards the larger goal of nation-building.
The Governor said that the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is the foundation for building a new and developed India. He expressed satisfaction that ICFAI University Tripura has actively embraced the vision of the National Education Policy by promoting holistic and multidisciplinary education.
The Governor also called upon parents, teachers, social workers and all citizens, particularly the youth, to join the fight against drug abuse.
Vice-Chancellor of ICFAI University Biplab Halder delivered the welcome address and presented the university report. ICFAI University Chancellor Tirupati Rao and Dr. Chandrasekhar Rao were also present at the programme.
Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu conferred PhD degrees, gold medals and certificates upon research scholars and undergraduate and postgraduate students in recognition of their academic achievements. The information was shared from Lok Bhavan.
