Today on 8th October,2022, E/71 BN CRPF organized special ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ at Dukmali market area under TTAADC Khumulwng. Aiming to generate clean and hygienic environment for the society the jawans of the battalion has taken this philanthropic initiative. “Swachata Abhiyan 2.0”, was carried out under the supervision of Hari Shankar Prasad, Assistant Commandant E/71 BN CRPF. On this occasion jawans from all ranks and files enthusiastically participated in this cleanliness drive.
As per the battalion officials, the Swachcha Bharat Abhiyan aims to educate local population about living hygienic and healthy lifestyle and to eliminate open defecation, eradicate manual scavenging, introduce modern solid waste management and promote a positive attitude towards healthy sanitation practices. The drive was warmly welcomed and appreciated by local population.
