Mumbai, Maharashtra, 22nd of June 2026 : The 83rd National Garment Fair (NGF) – Kidswear edition, organized by the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), was inaugurated today at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (NESCO), Mumbai, marking the beginning of India’s largest B2B sourcing platform dedicated to the kidswear industry.

The three-day trade fair, being held from 22nd to 24th June 2026, brings together more than 630 leading kidswear brands from across the country and has witnessed a robust increase of over 25% in buyer registrations compared to the previous edition, reflecting strong market sentiment and confidence.
The inauguration was done by distinguished retail industry leaders and Guests of Honour – including Dr. M. S. Asif Ali of Majestic Maharaja, Trichy (8 stores spanning 3,82,000 sq. ft. of retail space), Shri Akash Ranjit Nanjunda of Roop Sangam, Bengaluru (4 stores with 35,000 sq. ft. of retail space), and Shri Navin Tejpal Shah of Sagar, Mumbai (1 store with 5,000 sq. ft. of retail space), in the presence of CMAI office bearers, managing committee and industry stakeholders.
Speaking at the inauguration, Dr. M. S. Asif Ali of Majestic Maharaja, Trichy, expressed, “Bombay is not just a city, it is a chapter of our growth story. Spread across over 2.25 lakh sq. ft. of exhibition space, the fair showcases an extensive range of products across infantwear, toddlers’ wear, juniors’ wear, occasion and ethnic wear, casual wear, fashion apparel, accessories and allied categories. The event serves as a vital business platform for manufacturers, brands, retailers, distributors, wholesalers, e-commerce players and sourcing professionals from across India.

The Kidswear edition will be followed by the Menswear & Womenswear edition from 13 to 15 July 2026. The Womenswear section will also be hosted at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, while the Menswear section will take place at the MMRDA Ground, BKC, Mumbai. Together, the segments will feature over 800 exhibitors presenting more than 900 brands and are expected to draw approximately 50,000 retailers nationwide.
