District Health Society Review Meeting Held In Presence Of District Magistrate.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 19th of February, 2026 : A district-level review meeting of the Governing Body under the District Health & Family Welfare Society, along with the District TB Forum Committee meeting and a discussion on the “TB Mukt Panchayat” initiative, was held at the Conference Hall of the District Magistrate’s office in North Tripura district.The meeting was chaired by the District Magistrate of North Tripura, Chandni Chandran. The Chief Medical Officer of the district, Dr. Dipak Halder, along with officials from various line departments, were also present.During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted on the overall progress of health services in the district, implementation of various national health programmes, reduction of maternal and infant mortality rates, progress in immunization drives, and improvement of health infrastructure.

Financial and administrative matters related to different projects under the District Health & Family Welfare Society were also discussed.In the District TB Forum Committee meeting, special emphasis was laid on the progress of the TB elimination programme, increasing case detection, improving treatment completion rates, and enhancing public awareness. To achieve the goal of forming “TB Mukt Panchayats,” coordinated initiatives at the village and block levels were urged. Active cooperation from the Panchayat, Education, and Social Welfare departments, along with the Health Department, was sought.In her address, the District Magistrate stressed that inter- departmental coordination is crucial for the successful elimination of TB. She stated that each Panchayat must adopt a specific action plan to be declared TB-free and ensure regular monitoring to achieve the set targets.

Officials from various departments presented their progress reports and shared future action plans. The district administration assured full support to make the overall health services in the district more dynamic and effective.
