Agartala, Tripura, 20th of February, 2026 : The educational interventions under the Tripura Rural Economic Growth and Service Delivery Project (TRESP) have yielded encouraging improvements across tribal areas of the state, largely due to the proactive role of the Tribal Welfare Department in financing, fund allocation, and continuous monitoring of implementation.

As the nodal department, the Tribal Welfare Department has ensured timely release and strategic allocation of funds to the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of the Secondary Education Department, enabling smooth execution of academic reforms in collaboration with the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). This strong financial backing has supported large-scale student and teacher assessments, structured teacher professional development, and the development of quality classroom resources tailored to the needs of tribal schools.
