ABVP Submits Memorandum Demanding Repair Of Dharmanagar College Road And Bridge.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 12th of May 2026 : Highlighting the long-standing difficulties faced by students commuting to college, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Dharmanagar College Unit on Monday submitted a memorandum to the Sub-Divisional Officer of the Public Works Department in Dharmanagar, North Tripura.

In the memorandum, the organization pointed out the extremely poor and dangerous condition of the connecting road from Dharmanagar College Chowmuhani to the college campus. According to the organization, students, teachers, and ordinary commuters are facing severe difficulties while traveling on the road every day. The condition worsens further during the monsoon season, increasing the risk of accidents.The ABVP also demanded the immediate reopening of the college bridge, which has remained closed for a long time. The organization stated that the closure of the bridge has caused additional inconvenience for students, making their daily commute longer and more difficult.

The PWD SDO reportedly took the matter seriously and assured the delegation that necessary steps would be taken soon to resolve the problems.Among those present during the programme were ABVP Dharmanagar District Convenor Aniket Deb, Dharmanagar Town Secretary Subir Nandi, College Secretary Sayan Ghosh, along with other members of the organization.
