Agartala, Tripura, 5th of June 2026 : The NCC Sub-Unit of BBM College observed World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and active participation of NCC cadets, faculty members, and college authorities. The programme aimed to create awareness about environmental conservation and promote sustainable practices among students and the local community.
The celebration commenced with a tree plantation drive within the college campus, followed by a campus cleaning programme, where NCC cadets actively participated in maintaining cleanliness and spreading the message of environmental responsibility.
A lecture programme was organized to highlight the importance of environmental protection. The speakers included Principal Dr. Mihir Pal, Dr. Rupak Das, Secretary, TC, Captain Dr. Samir Kumar Diabagh, and Lt. Tapanjyoti Malakar. The speakers emphasized the need for collective efforts to combat environmental degradation, conserve natural resources, and adopt eco-friendly lifestyles.
The programme concluded with the organization of the Puneet Sagar Abhiyan at MBB Lake, where NCC cadets undertook a cleanliness drive to promote the preservation of water bodies and create awareness regarding pollution-free surzoundings.
The event successfully inspired students to become responsible citizens and active contributors towards environmental sustainability.
