Agartala, Tripura, 29th of June 2026 : The 8th day of the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC)-50, organized by 13 Tripura Battalion NCC, Agartala at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel, Agartala, was marked by discipline, pride, and celebration as the camp hosted the official visit of senior NCC dignitaries and concluded with a grand cultural programme.

The day began with an energetic Morning Physical Training (PT) session, focusing on improving the cadets’ physical fitness.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Maj Gen Anurag Vij, ADG, NCC North Eastern Region Directorate, Shillong, Brig Anand Raj Singh, Group Commander,silchar Group Col N.S. Baath, Commanding Officer, 13 Tripura Battalion NCC, Col Roshan Zameer, Administrative Officer, 13 Tripura Battalion NCC and many other distinguished dignitaries were present at the event.

The programme commenced with a Guard of Honour, presented by the NCC cadets, followed by an impressive Band Display showcasing the cadets’ discipline, precision, and coordination. The dignitaries then visited various camp training locations and interacted with the cadets, appreciating their enthusiasm, commitment, and overall standards of training.
The evening witnessed a vibrant Grand Cultural Programme, where cadets presented colourful performances highlighting the rich cultural heritage and unity in diversity of India. The programme reflected the confidence, creativity, and teamwork developed during the camp.

A special Felicitation Ceremony was organized to recognize outstanding performances by cadets and educational institutions throughout CATC-50. The awards were presented by the visiting dignitaries.
Award Winners :
Suraj Kumar Valmiki of ICFAI University, Tripura was awarded the Best Cadet.
Belonia Vidyapith was awarded the Best School.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Udaipur was awarded the Best Drill Team
Mungiabari Higher Secondary School was awarded the Best Firing Team
Sagnik Kumar Sinha of MBB College was awarded the Excellent Performance Award for the Academic Year 2025–26.

Sagarika Majumder of Ramthakur College was also awarded the Excellent Performance Award for the Academic Year 2025–26.
The dignitaries congratulated all award recipients and encouraged every cadet to continue striving for excellence, leadership, discipline, and selfless service to the nation. They appreciated the dedicated efforts of the officers, ANOs, PI Staff, and camp administration in successfully organizing the training camp.

The programme concluded with a group photograph of the dignitaries, officers, staff, and cadets, marking a memorable and proud occasion for all participants.

The successful conduct of the day’s activities significantly contributed to the development of discipline, leadership, military knowledge, communication skills, physical fitness, and social responsibility among the cadets. The camp continues to uphold the core values of the National Cadet Corps, nurturing disciplined, confident, and responsible young citizens dedicated to the service of the nation.
