Chintan Shibir cum Felicitation Programme Organized By SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Govt. Of Tripura.

Agartala, Tripura, 29th of June 2026 : With the initiative of  Animal Resources Development Department, Fisheries Department and SC Welfare Department Government of Tripura organized Second Chintan Shibir and Felicitation Ceremony at Manikya Enclave in Bholagiri, Agartala, Tripura on Monday (29th June, 2026).

In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das was inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial Lamp.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Chintan Shibir cum Felicitation ceremony Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das emphasized the developmental initiatives undertaken by the departments, the successful implementation of various public welfare schemes, and the need to make government services more efficient and citizen-centric.

Highlighting the occasion, SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das remarked that under the State Budget-funded schemes, the Department of Fisheries had achieved 92% implementation, while the Department of Animal Resources Development and the Department of Welfare for Scheduled Castes had completed 97.03% and 97.32% of their respective targets. He also highlighted the significant progress made in implementing projects funded under the Central Budget. Commending the dedication, efficiency, and sincerity of the employees of all three departments, the Minister urged them to continue serving the public with the same commitment and enthusiasm in the future.

Deepa D. Nair, Secretary of the Departments of Animal Resources Development, Fisheries, and Welfare for Scheduled Castes attending the event as the Guest of Honour. In her address, she underscored the importance of coordinated efforts and inter-departmental collaboration in ensuring the successful implementation of various government welfare schemes and development programmes.

During the programme, officials and employees from the three departments were felicitated in recognition of their outstanding contributions in their respective fields. A total of 21 personnel from the Department of Fisheries, 19 from the Department of Welfare for Scheduled Castes, and 33 from the Department of Animal Resources Development were honoured for their dedicated service and exemplary performance.

The programme also included detailed discussions on the future action plans of the respective departments, improvement of service delivery, enhancement of work efficiency, and various citizen-centric initiatives. It was further observed that this Chintan Shivir and felicitation programme would play an important role in strengthening inter-departmental coordination, improving efficiency, and making public service delivery more dynamic, effective, and result-oriented.

Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were Dr. Neeraj Kumar Chanchal, Director of the Department of Animal Resources Development, Santosh Das, Director of the Department of Fisheries, and Bhaswar Bhattacharjee, Director of the Department of Welfare for Scheduled Castes and many other distinguished  dignitaries were present in the event.
