Agartala, Tripura,28th of July, 2026 : A review meeting on the implementation of various schemes under the Animal Resources Development, Fisheries and Scheduled Caste Welfare departments was held at the Kailashahar Circuit House conference hall today under the chairmanship of Hon’ble ARDD, Fisheries and SC Welfare Minister Sudhanshu Das.
The meeting was attended by Unakoti Zilla Parishad Sabadhipati Amalendu Das, Unakoti District Magistrate Megha Jain, ARDD Director Dr. Neeraj Kumar Chanchal, Fisheries Director Santosh Das, SC Welfare department director Bhaswar Bhattacharya, Additional District Magistrate of Unakoti Argha Saha, Kailashahar SDM Shantimoy Debbarma, Kumarghat SDM N. S. Chakma, BDOs of different blocks and senior officials of the concerned departments.
Speaking to reporters before the meeting, the Minister said the review would assess the progress, challenges and solutions related to the implementation of schemes in Unakoti district. He said such review meetings have significantly improved the pace of departmental work. The Minister further said the government is implementing district-specific initiatives to achieve self-sufficiency in fish, meat, egg and milk production. He added that rural women are being encouraged to participate in poultry, duck and goat farming projects to enhance self-reliance and strengthen the rural economy. Unakoti Zilla Parishad Sabadhipati Amalendu Das was also present during the media interaction.
