Agartala, Tripura, 27th November, 2025 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Thursday (27th November, 2025). According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested Two (2) drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station and seized a total of 04.090 Kg dry cannabis (Ganja). They wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station.
According to sources, GRP & RPF of Agartala at about 7 PM managed to catch two disabled persons namely 1) Rajnikant Sah (39), S/O- Lt Baudhi Prasad Sah @ Moti Sah Of Chapar, Ward No- 03 PO- Chapar, Ps- Rangra Chawk, Bhagalpur, Bihar, and 2) Bambam Kumar (19), S/O- Lt Bachhi Mandal Of Sadhua, Ward No- 08, Sadhua, Rangra Chawk, Bhagalpur, Bihar along with total 04.090 Kg purported to be contraband cannabis (Ganja). The value of this Ganja is Rs- 01 Lakh approx in black market. Railway Police arrested them from Agartala Railway station platform no-01 and seized the contraband Ganja. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no-2025GRP111, U/S-20(b)(ii)(B)/29 of NDPS Act-1985 has registered against them.
