Abhinaba Banik Of RMV Is Going To Represent The State Being State Youth Icon Student-Scientist At The National Youth Festival 2025 Called On By Prime Minister.

Agartala, Tripura, 5th of January, 2025 : Abhinaba Banik, a Student-Scientist of class 10 of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Vivek Nagar, has been nominated by the Tripura Government Directorate of Youth Affairs & Sports to represent the state as State Youth Icon Student-Scientist at the National Youth Festival organized by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India under the patronage of the Prime Minister. The Festival has been invited in connection to the occasion of the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, and is going to be represented by the state nominated as the Youth Icons including Abhinaba Banik being Student-Scientist. The matter was informed in a letter written to the Under Secretary of  the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India by himself the Director of the Tripura State Department, Satyabrata Nath and congratulated Abhinaba Banik, who has been selected as Youth Icon of state as well as Student-Scientist.

This two-day National Youth Festival under the patronage of the Prime Minister will be held on 11th-12th January 2025 at the Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, celebrating Meet with the Prime Minister along with different exhibitions, Cultural Activities and more multi dimensional ways. Besides, during this Amrit-Kaal of India’s independence, to nurture the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to elevate India towards “Vikashit Bharat” and in making of the new India, Developed India by 2047, in which time frame, the current youth will be the leaders of the country in 2047, the concerned have been invited to the National Youth Dialogue with the Prime Minister & other Union Ministers Secretaries to know their leadership ideas and proposals for nation building.

In that regard, arrangements have been made to send multiple teams to the event on behalf of the state, out of which a total of 10 youths have been selected as the state’s youth icons and their proposals have been sent to the Union Ministry of New Delhi. Among these ten, besides those who have excelled in various co-curricular activities like NSS, sports, entrepreneurship and painting in the state, Abhinaba Banik, student-scientist studying in class 10 from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Vivek Nagar, has been selected as the only youth for his success as a student scientist for his performance at the Indian Space Research Organization’s (ISRO) Yuvika 2024 program, which he had marked in individual category and as a team leader at the National Remote Sensing Center Hyderabad and also for his valuable scientific research on the effects of sanitizers on the human body during COVID for the National Children’s Science Congress and Indian Science Congress under the supervision of Prof Dr. Tapan Majumdar of Agartala Government Medical College according to the suggestion of his school. He has also been selected as a national level resource person in the Ecofest section of the India International Science Festival Goa organized by NICPOR and CSIR under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Earlier too, Abhinaba Banik was also honored with the India International SaraBhai Student Scientist Award for his success in a national Training Workshop towards making ISRO’s Scientist under the VIPNET Program affiliated to the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. A painting portrait of Abhinaba Banik was also successfully selected in the National Competition organized by Rashtrapati Bhavan and is displayed in digital mode at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum of India apart from his various sculptures and art works which has been on display at Sarada Devi Chitrashala of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Vivek Nagar . Last year, in 2024, Abhinaba Banik was also felicitated by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of Tripura, at a function organized by the Department concern of Government of Tripura, for his performances, in the presence of the Chief Minister Dr Prof Manik Saha, Minister of the Dept Tinku Roy, Secretary of Dept P K Chakraborty, and Director of the Department Satyabrata Nath, which was celebrated as a part of National Youth Day celebration on the birthday of Swami Vivekananda at the state level.

On selection of Abhinaba Banik, student-scientist studying in class 10 at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Viveknagar, as the state’s Youth Icon Student-Scientist at the National Youth Festival 2025 and Prime Minister’s Youth Leadership Dialogue organized by the Union Ministry on 11th-12th January 2025 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, by the Department of Youth affairs and Sports, Government of Tripura, has been acknowledged by The Secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Mission Viveknagar and Principal of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Viveknagar, Swami Shubhakarananda Maharaj, and also by the Vice Principal of the school, Swami Budhirupananda Maharaj, along with the teachers of the school and others, and expressed their gratitude to the Dept. Both have also extended their heartfelt blessings to the State Youth Icon Student Scientist  Abhinaba Banik for his journey towards New Delhi on 6th January 2024.
