Administrative Raid For Selling Products Of Expired Dates In Kalyanpur.

Expired goods continue to sell for a long time at Kalyanpur under Khowai District. Common people have protested on several issues related to this, besides this news has been published in several newspapers of the State. Finally, the administration moved. Today (27th April, 2023) a high-level delegation of the sub-divisional administration suddenly organized a raid in Kalyanpur. During this operation, the administrative officers conduct raids on various grocery stores including sweet shops, bakeries, especially if the quality of the food items sold is correct or if all the restrictions given by the Government are being followed in the public interest. During the operation of the administrative authorities, several shops have seen the spread of expired items, especially the quality of bakery food items, many question marks have appeared, besides this, several shops, starting from baby food, are selling various food items even after their expiry date. After these matters came to the attention of the officials, the officials seized several items from a few local shops, including a shop named Rajesh Dey Ramthakur Varieties in Kalyanpur Motor Stand. When Mr. Dey was asked about this, he said that these incidents happened without his knowledge. After visiting several local sweet shops, including Ramthakur Varieties, the administrative officials found that the interests of the common people were not taken into consideration.

Speaking to the media the delegation of the Sub-divisional administration demanded that all the samples collected will be tested at appropriate places. The administrative team has also assured to take appropriate action in future. Apart from this, a demand has been made to the sub-divisional administration that such operations will continue in the coming days as well.

All of a sudden, this raid of the Sub-divisional administration and the food department in Kalyanpur resulted in the recovery of a large amount of expired products, which caused a huge reaction in Kalyanpur. Today’s delegation included DCM Anjan Kumar Das, Food Department Officer Subhankar Chowdhury, Vuttu Debbarma and other officials were present.
