The Games and Sports-2023 concluded on Sunday (2nd April, 2023) with great joy and enthusiasm. Games and Sports-2023 concluded with the Annual Sports competition organized for journalists and their families at Agiye Cholo Sangha ground, Agartala. Satyandra Singh, Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank inaugurated the annual sports competition by lighting the lamp. Games and Sports-2023 organized by the members of the Agartala Press Club and the families of everyone involved in the news was very lively today.
Rashni Chanda, Anubhav Roy, Swarankit Gope in the spoon race held between sub-junior boys and girls. Amitanshu Nath, Abrita Debbarma, Rudranil Kar in the kick the ball event; Hriddhiman Banik, Rudranil Kar, Abrita Debbarma in table tennis ball throwing; Donna Bhattacharjee, Rudranil Debroy, Hriddhiman Banik in Standing Skipping; In the junior boys and girls group, run Rajarshi Das, Pragya Sen, Kankana Goswami; Anubhab Roy, Kankana Goswami, Pragya Sen at the Kick the Ball event; Anubhab Roy, Rajarshi Das, Kankana Goswami in table tennis ball throwing; In women’s Bindia given in the picture, Indrani Dey, Sushmita Roy Sen, Sheshadri Dasgupta; Chandrima Sarkar, Suparna Goswami, Monika Dev at Earthen pot broken event; Chandrima Sarcar, Chandra Roy, Pallabi Ghosh in musical chair event; Priyanka Bhattacharjee, Namita Roy, Rupa Debnath at Kick the Ball event; Anjan Deb, Santosh Gope, Suprabhat Debnath in the men’s kick the ball event; Bikash Dhanuk, Kiriti Dutta, Prasenjit Saha at the Hit the Stamp event; Miltan Dhar, Bijoy Debnath, Narayan Shil got the first, second and third prize respectively in the musical ball event. In the Men’s Tug of War event, Team-C champions were Abhishek Debbarma, Jakir Hossen, Biswajit Debnath, Prasenjit Saha, Parthasarathy Deb, Anjan Deb, Subrata Dey and Sumit Singh, Bikash Dhanuk, Meghdhan Deb, Miltan Dhar, Arindam Chakraborty, Bijoy Debroy, Samir Saha, team-B with won the runners-up title. Senior journalist Suprabhat Debnath was in charge of the programme and sports event. Athletes and coaches Amiya Das, Rajesh Majumder, Arpita Malakar and Kamal Hossen have provided in the role of judges and referees.
Agartala Press Club President Jayanta Bhattacharjee, Sports committee chairman Alok Ghosh, General Secretary of All India Journalists Union and Former Secretary of Agartala Press Club Pranab Sarkar, President of Agiye Cholo Sangha Chanchal Nandi, other Agartala Press Club members and journalists were present in the programme. Secretary of Agartala Press Club Ramakanta Dey delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. At the end of the competition, the guests and senior members of the Press Club distributed the prizes to the winners. Agartala Press Club Sports Committee convenor Abhishek Dey thanked all the participants as well as Tripura Gramin Bank and Agiye Cholo Sangha in his speech.
