Agartala, Tripura, 2nd of August, 2026 : Tripura State-Level Football Tournament – 2026 is being organized by BSF Tripura Frontier under Sector Headquarters BSF Gokulnagar, 43 Battalion BSF, and in collaboration with the Government of Tripura, and the Tripura Football Association from 03 to 07 August 2026 at Belonia Football Ground, South Tripura.
The tournament aims to promote sporting excellence, encourage youth participation, and strengthen community engagement, particularly in the border areas of Tripura. Organised under the theme “SPANDAN – Sports for Peace and Development Across the Nation,” it seeks to harness sports as a tool for youth empowerment, social harmony, and national integration.
Eight teams representing all districts of Tripura, comprising nearly 160 players and team officials, will compete in a league-cum-knockout format. Besides providing a platform for emerging football talent, the tournament seeks to foster discipline, teamwork, leadership, and the spirit of fair play. The SPANDAN League reflects the Border Security Force’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with border communities through constructive youth engagement and collaborative initiatives. The event also showcases the close cooperation between the BSF, the State Administration, and sports authorities in promoting inclusive development through sports.
