Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Flags Off Rally To Marks World Heath Day.

Agartala, Tripura, 7th of April 2025 : With the initiative of Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura rally organized to marks on World Heath Day at Agartala, Tripura on Monday (7th April, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries the procession was flagged off by Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. The rally start from in front of Ujjayanta Palace, Agartala and passes through various routes of Agartala city. The theme for this year’ World Heath Day is “Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures”.

Addressing at the rally on the occasion of World Heath Day 2025 Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has urged to stay healthy as well as keep themselves healthy through changes in their daily lifestyle. The Chief minister said, to promoting and spreading awareness to stay healthy and strong, we should also keep ourselves aware of the prevention of various diseases. People should be made more aware of the prevention of various diseases including drugs and HIV. The State Government is developing various medical infrastructure with modern facilities in the field of health services.

“This year’s budget has made provision for setting up new Primary Health Centers (PHCs) in various districts. An eye hospital with modern facilities will be opened so that the health services in the State can be further improved. Now all the medical facilities are available in the state. As a result, the tendency to go out of the state for better medical services has reduced. But it should be noted that only early health awareness can keep us away from various diseases. The state is currently moving forward in various areas. However, we need to take stricter steps to prevent child marriage. The state government is keeping an eye on that aspect. Emphasis has also been placed on awareness.”, Chief Minister added.

Director of Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura Dr. Pradip Bhaumik delivered the welcome speech at the event. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were the Foundation’s President Dr. M. L. Bhowmik, Secretary Dibakar Debnath, member of Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura were present at the event. Students of various schools and colleges, NGOs, NCC cadets and many other dignitaries were participated in the colourful procession.
