Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Lays Foundation Stone For 50 Bedded Sub-Divisional Hospital At Jirania Hospital.

Agartala, 12th of March 2024 : Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha laid the foundation stone for 50 Bedded Sub-Divisional Hospital at Jirania Hospital, Agartala on Tuesday (12th March, 2024).

“The Government has given priority to the expansion of better health services in the State. For this purpose, improved health infrastructure is being developed in districts, subdivision and rural areas.” Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said at the laying foundation stone for 50 bedded Sub-Divisional Hospital at Jirania Hospital today. On this occasion, a program was organized in the premises of the old health center at Jirania Block Chowmuhani. The Chief Minister said, on the occasion, today the long time dream of the people of Jirania is going to be realized. The construction of this sub-divisional hospital will cost 41 crore 53 lakh rupees. All necessary infrastructure of the hospital will be constructed in this sub-divisional hospital with 16 staff quarters.

The Chief Minister expressed hope that the construction company would complete the construction of the hospital within the specified time while maintaining the quality of work. He said that the Government will never tolerate corruption or negligence in development work. The guest of honor on the occasion, Food Minister Sushanta Chowdhury thanked and congratulated Chief Minister for fulfilling the long-standing dream of the local residents and said that since 2018, there has been a demand to establish a Sub-divisional hospital in this Jirania Sub-division. Today that demand has been fulfilled. He expressed hope that the people of this area will get better health service infrastructure in the coming days. On the occasion, 2 pregnant women were given a check of 2 thousand rupees under ‘Mukhyamantri Matru Pushti Uphaar‘, 1 woman was given a check of 10 thousand rupees for small business and 2 people were given musical instruments. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha handed over the assistance to them.

Kiran Gitte, Secretary of Health & Family Welfare Department, delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Dr. Sanjeev Debbarma, Director of the Health Department, Vice Chairman of Jirania Panchayat Samiti Pritam Debnath, Social activist Gouranga Bhowmik and many other dignitaries were present in the laying the foundation stone ceremony. Chairman of Jirania Nagar Panchayat Ratan Kumar Das has concluded the ceremony with vote of thanks.
