Agartala, 12th of March 2024 : NIT Agartala is one of the centrally funded technical institutes (CFTI) in India along with other NITs and IITs. The Institute through its student gymkhana performs different cultural and technical programmes throughout the year. These show the picture of its resourceful, educational, cultural and technical structure and harmonize with Indian culture. The Institute also organizes various types of indoor and outdoor competitions for students overall developments .The ecstatic event which remains the most awaited in this Institute, is one of the fest, “VIRASAT 2024-A Series of Events of Art and Culture of NIT Agartala”.
The “VIRASAT 2024” at NIT Agartala is scheduled during 13 – 28 March, 2024.The program will be organised by Heritage Club, NIT Agartala in association with Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY), Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The programme is totally executed by the young and vibrant students of the institute.
The program not only showcases the diverse aspects of arts, culture, and technology but also provides a platform for innovative ideas through various events. These events remain the center of attraction for young innovators and students who display their talents. The events include classical music recitals, folk dance performances, art exhibitions, culinary showcases, and more. Some of the events are Rajasthani folk dance, Cinema Classic, Heritage Walk, Classical Music, Carnatic Violin, Painting, and Hatha Yoga. The most fascinating aspect of VIRASAT is the participation of students from various other parts of the country, including other IITs.
Various events of “VIRASAT 2024” offer a vibrant tapestry of cultures, reflecting the essence to our campus community. It brings togetherness and joy among the NIT Agartala Family and revives the concept of unity. The Institute cordially invites the residents of Tripura to witness, explore and to be a part of this programme. Prof. (Dr.) S.K.
