Teliamura, 2nd of December 2023 : With the initiative of CPI(M) organization a rally has been conducted at Teliamura under Khowai District on Saturday (2nd December, 2023). The rally was held against the privatization of rail and electricity, hike in power tariff, price hike of essential commodities and unemployed issues. The CPI(M) activists have marched on Teliamura-Ampi chowmuhani road including Teliamura market lanes. The rally has started from the CPI(M) Teliamura Sub-divisional office and reached the venue by various routes of Teliamura city. Addressing at the gathering Former Chief Minister and Member of Politburo, Communist Party of India (Marxist) Manik Sarkar said, the present situation of the state has reached such a place that people have to sell their children in pain of hunger. He also added that due to financial hardship during the present Government, children including parents of the same family are choosing to commit suicide by poison.
In today’s rally apart from the Former Chief Minister and Member of Politburo, Communist Party of India (Marxist) Manik Sarkar, Hemanta Kumar Jamatia, Secretary of CPI(M) Teliamura Sub-divisional committee, Former MLA Manindra Chandra Das and many others remained present in the rally.
