Dharmanagar, Tripura, 15th of June 2026 : Marking the completion of 12 years of welfare-oriented governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Dharmanagar Municipal Council on Monday launched a three-day “Janakalyan Shibir” (Public Welfare Camp). The camp will be held from June 15 to June 17 at the Vivekananda Sardha-Shatabarshiki Bhavan in Dharmanagar, beginning daily at 11:00 AM.

The camp was formally inaugurated on Monday at 11:00 AM by Dharmanagar MLA Jahar Chakraborty. Eminent social worker Kajal Das attended the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest.Among those present on the occasion were Vice Chairperson of Dharmanagar Municipal Council Manju Nath, Chief Executive Officer Devyani Chowdhury, social worker Shyamal Nath, and Chairperson Mitali Rani Das Sen, along with several other distinguished personalities.
The primary objective of the Janakalyan Shibir is to bring various government services and welfare schemes directly to the doorstep of the people. The camp provides information on government schemes, facilitates applications, and offers various public services to beneficiaries.According to local residents, such initiatives play a significant role in strengthening the connection between the administration and citizens. The Dharmanagar Municipal Council’s effort is being viewed as an important step toward making government services more accessible and convenient for the general public.
