Dr. Sujoy Lal Thaosen, DG of the CRPF has visited Tripura Sector Hqr. today and reviewed the Ops preparedness of CRPF deployed in the State. Shri Ravideep Singh Sahi, ADG, briefed the DG regarding the general Law and order scenario in the State pre and post election and the challenges likely to be faced in the near future. DG CRPF applauded the role of CRPF other Central Forces and the local administration in ensuring free, fair and peaceful election in the recently concluded AE-2023 Tripura. He emphasized the need to strengthen coordination among sister agencies viz. CRPF, BSF and State Police in order to neutralize insurgent groups operating along the Indo-Bangladesh border. DG CRPF also called on the Hon’ble, CM of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha and discussed about the deployment of CRPF and BSF in the State of Tripura.
