The 41st Agartala Book Fair-2023 will start from 24 March 2023 at the International Fair Ground, Hapania. The fair will continue till April 5, 2023. The meeting of the steering committee of 41st Agartala Book Fair 2023 held at Muktadhara Auditorium Hall, Agartala on Friday (17th March, 2023).
“The book fair was started in the premises of Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan. After that Agartala Book Fair was organized at Shishu Udyan (Children Park), Umakanta Academy school premises, now it is being held at International Fair Ground, Hapania premises. It is easy to understand that the number of book fairs is increasing”, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said at the meeting of the steering committee of 41st Agartala Book Fair. The Chief Minister also added, the G-20 meeting will be held at Agartala during the book fair and representatives of different countries will participate in the meeting. The Chief Minister urged everyone to make the 41st Agartala Book Fair a success by keeping the reputation and tradition of the state intact.
Secretary of ICA Department Pradip Kumar Chakraborty discussed the meeting. He said representatives of various countries participating in the G-20 meeting will come to the book fair and urged everyone not to make any mistakes in their hospitality. Director of ICA Department Ratan Biswas said that 17 awards will be given in various subjects at the book fair. Cultural programs will be organized daily and vehicles will be arranged from certain places to the fair premises as in other years for traveling the book fair. The Director of ICA also added, there were 162 stalls in the book fair last year. The number of stalls will increase this year.
Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dipak Majumder, Former Vice-Chancellor of Tripura University Arunoday Saha, MLA Mina Rani Sarkar and other dignitaries were present in the meeting.
“The 41st Agartala Book Fair will commence at Hapania international fair ground from March 24 & continue till April 5 next. Today chaired a meeting of the Book Fair managing committee at Muktadhara auditorium, Agartala”, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha tweeted.
