Jan Aushadhi Diwas 2023 has been celebrated at Hrishi Arabinda Health & Wellness Centre, Arundhati Nagar, Agartala on Tuesday (7th March, 2023). In the presence of dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has inaugurated Jan Aushadhi Diwas 2023 programme by lighting the lamp. Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said, there are 20 Jan Aushadhi centres in the state from which people are reaping benefits of generic medicines available at reasonable prices and different treatment related machines. The Chief Minister said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been working for public welfare and to curb their problems. Celebrating Jan Aushadhi Diwas is one of its results. The Chief Minister also added that emphasized upon organizing workshops on generating more public awareness on usage of generic medicines.
Subhashish Das Mission Director of National Health Mission, Tripura Division delivered the welcome speech on the programme. Director of Health department Dr. Subhashish Debbarma, Secretary of Health & Family Welfare department Dr. Debashish Bose also spoke on the programme. Director of Family Welfare & Preventive Medicines Dr. Radha Debbarma delivered the vote of thanks. Corporator of Agartala Municipal Corporation Alok Roy and other dignitaries were present in the programme.
