Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha launched Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0 at Unakoti Kalakhetra, Kailashahar, Unakoti on Saturday (5th August, 2023).
“Today’s children are the future of the country. It is the moral responsibility of the government to keep them healthy. If their health is not good then healthy human resources will not be created in the country. To create a healthy human resource, the government is working to ensure that children receive proper health care right from childhood”, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said at the launching ceremony of Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0. In this program, children aged 0-5 years and pregnant women will be vaccinated for health protection. In this program, the first phase of vaccination will be conducted from August 7 to 12, the second phase from September 11 to 16 and the third phase from October 9 to 14. For vaccination anyone can register at U-Win portal on mobile and get vaccinated completely free of charge from their convenient health center at home.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha also added that Tripura is far ahead in vaccination compared to other states of the country. He said the vaccination rate is around 98 percent in Tripura. But we have to reach 100 percent. The Chief Minister said that the State Government has given the highest priority to the health sector. 59 crores have been allocated for the Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana in the budget for the financial year 2023-24. 4.75 lakh families of the state will be covered under this scheme. In this, each family will get medical benefits up to 5 lakh rupees.
Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das, Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, Labour Minister Tinku Roy, Anganwadi workers and many other dignitaries were present in the launching ceremony of Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0.
