Amarpur, Tripura, 2nd of July 2025 : After a prolonged struggle of the villagers of Lowgangsom VC under Bokafa block in South Tripura a beautiful PHC building for the villagers has been constructed in Durpa Bari village to provide better and advanced medical service to the local people of the VC.

As per the report, the PHC building construction was initiated in 2021 and it has been completed this year 2025. Under the supervision of the PWD authority of Santir Bazar agency Tapan Chakraborty has accomplished this PHC project. According to the local villagers, this PHC will maintain a vital role in coming days in providing better medical service to the villagers of Govinda Bari, Laxmicherra, Akhangma, Karbook, East Durpa, South Durpa, Twimacherra etc villagers in Bokafa block under South Tripura district. Sources said, the poor and deprived Reang and Tripura inhabitants of the area going to have advantageous medical facilities through this primary health centre. To have new PHC in their own locality villagers were found happy as they are suffering much for govt. medical facilities throughout years. They go far off places to avail govt. medical service for last many decades.

One local villager said, “We are worst victim for medical service since monarchy system. During emergency cases poor villagers can’t dispose expenditure or vehicle to take patients to city hospital suddenly and become pitiless victim of depression. They confront dillema! The poor villagers are bound to take patients to far off hospitals for availing medical treatment to save life through critical situation of financial weakness and other unfavourable issues. Now we got this new PHC in our VC and we are hopeful that in coming days we will have better opportunity to avail free govt. medical facilities throughout years. If the health department dispose sufficient doctors and medicines for this PHC then it will appear as a great boon for the local indigenous people.”
